Conference on the Liberalization of Postal Markets

The first regional conference entitled „Process of Postal Market Liberalization – Benefits and Challenges“, was held on June 14 – 15 in Skopje, FYR of Macedonia. At the Conference, regulatory and operational experiences from the liberalization process in EU countries were exchanged, and their influence on the provision of UPS was discussed.
The Republic Agency for Postal Services (RAPUS) had two presentations at this event: „Study of the UPS users’ satisfacion level“ and „E-commerce – Service of public interest.“
Participants in the Conference were respresenatatives of the competent Ministries, postal regulators, public postal operators, as well as postal experts from the region (Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Bulgaria and FYR of Macedonia). The Conference was hosted by the Postal Agency of the FYR of Macedonia. On the initiative of RAPUS, one of the themes of the next regional conference is set to be „Terminal dues, Security of postal items, Customs and E-commerce.“
